The set of markers that come with the backpack are two cute (one blue and one green) mini sharpies labeled "jan sport" that are totally unsuitable for coloring the backpack. I saved those markers for later. To color the backpack you will find it helpful to invest in both broad and fine sharpie markers. Be warned that if you do not let each color dry completely that you may experience one color bleeding into another color. Depending on what effect you are trying to create, the colors bleeding together may produce either a positive or negative effect. Regular sharpies will not cover the black lines making up the design on the backpack, however, metallic sharpies will. It takes HOURS to color a backpack. (Several hours, not just an hour or two) The fish design had black zippers which I preferred. The tennis shoe design and the jungle design had white zippers which you have to take the time to color.
